CO-OP HOUSING

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL, 2017

THIRD PRIZE COMPETITION

TEAM: AVINOAM SHARON, DUDU KARNI, TAL ALSTER, LIAD SANDMAN, MEIRA KOWALSKY, ADI SAMET, TALMA WEITZNER

The cooperative housing project is a proposal for a new living model in Tel Aviv. It offers a union of residents to achieve common nonprofits' goals such as affordable housing. It allows groups and communities to unite, build new low-budget condos buildings, and pay a monthly member’s fee to enjoy long-term housing. The new model creates different kinds of ownership, which we describe more as a relationship. The residents will be the co-owner and members of the union - the cooperative. The cooperative will be the one to rent the apartments to the members by their needs, at fixed low prices.
